On 29 – 31 May 2026, the HIKE4ALL project brought partners, local communities, families and stakeholders in Norway for three days dedicated to walking, inclusion and shared experiences along the Saint Olav Ways, organised in collaboration with the Borgleden Pilgrim Centre, Borg Diocese, the National Pilgrim Centre, “Back in the Ring” Association and the Association for the Route of St. Olav Ways (ACSOW).
On 21 – 23 May 2026, Altopascio (Tuscany) hosted the International Conference marking the 25th anniversary of the European Association of the Via Francigena ways (AEVF) and its General Assembly. Within this important European framework, the HIKE4ALL project was presented as one of the initiatives contributing to making cultural routes more accessible, inclusive and open to all.
On 17 – 19 April 2026, the European project HIKE4ALL was presented in Aquileia (Italy) during the Aquileia Walking Routes Festival, an event dedicated to European walking and pilgrimage routes, featuring hikes, talks, and activities that enhance sustainable tourism, heritage, and community engagement crossing Aquileia.
On 29 April, the Municipality of Fidenza presented the 6th edition of the Francigen Fidenza Festival at the press conference in Bologna. The festival, scheduled from 5 to 10 May, will offer a rich programme of walks, presentations, talks and conferences dedicated to the Via Francigena and its territories.
After 18 months of inspiring activities across Italy, Greece, and Türkiye, the HIKE project (HIKing for a Healthier LifestylE along European Cultural Routes) reached its successful conclusion in October 2025.
On 20 September 2025, the HIKE project was among the featured initiatives at the 8th edition of the OMCEO Congress held in Puglia and organised by Dr. Domenico Meleleo.
On 3rd July, the Europeana Communicators Community hosted a thought-provoking webinar titled “Cultural Heritage and Tourism in a Digital Sandbox: Can Our Sectors Just Get Along?”– part of a dedicated series exploring the intersections of culture and tourism.

Ve dnech 17.–19. dubna 2026 byl evropský projekt HIKE4ALL představen v Aquileia (Itálie) během Aquileia Walking Routes Festival, akce věnované evropským pěším trasám a poutním itinerářům, která zahrnovala túry, přednášky a aktivity podporující udržitelný cestovní ruch, kulturní dědictví a zapojení místních komunit v historickém městě Aquileia.
Evropský projekt HIKE4ALL zahájil své aktivity v Itálii ve dnech 17.–18. dubna 2026 dvěma dny workshopů, inkluzivních procházek a terénních aktivit ve městech Ivrea a Bollengo v regionu Piemont.
Ve dnech 19. a 20. ledna 2026 oficiálně začal evropský projekt HIKE4ALL dvoudenní online úvodní schůzkou, které se sešly týmy ze šesti zúčastněných zemí: Itálie, Španělska, Norska, Francie, České republiky a Turecka.
